Volunteer Teaching in Nepal

The world today is more or less a global village and the importance of English is being increasingly felt as the most sought after means of communication. More and more people, all over the world want to learn English language to improve their job and business prospects. People in Nepal, too love to learn English language. Volunteers can help the disadvantaged & deprived children realize their dream by making their invaluable contribution, however small it may be.

Volunteers under this program can teach in schools for the underprivileged, which are run by non government organizations in Nepal. You need not be an expert in grammar. Starting with basics of the language, the poor kids can be delighted if they are able to learn simple, short sentences which enables them to understand English speaking people and express themselves in the same language. You can assist the staff of the local schools in evolving new ways of teaching in a playway method. Whatever activity you would be do – be it playing games, dancing, going to a picnic or outing – your language of communication would be English and the kids would pick up the language naturally. You can even teach basic conversational English to kids in shelter homes or orphanages..
